Grid Manager
The UI Management's Grid Manager enables administrators and authorized users to manage grids and to open Grid Designer to create and edit Grids.
Requires the following permissions to access this section:
- Admin > Lucity App Admin > Run
- Lucity Web > Allowed to Access Admin Portal
- Lucity Web > Allowed to Design Views and Forms
Note: The tools in this section were previously located in the Lucity Administration Tool application. You must still use the Administration Tool to assign grids to views and to copy or delete grids.

How to add a grid

Open
Admin Portal > UI Management > Grid Manager.
This tool requires the Admin > Lucity App Admin > Run permission. - Select a Module and Module Component to identify which module you want to add a grid to.

Select the Add New button. The Add New Grid pop-up appears:

Enter a Grid Name (required). Modify additional grid details in the top half of the window as desired.

Edit the grid's columns.

Select the Edit Columns tab at the bottom of the window.

Select any column name to view its Component Information on the right.

Use the filter
to filter Available Columns and Selected Columns. -
The Selected Columns grid will display default fields for some modules.

Use the left and right arrows to move columns from Available Columns to or from Selected Columns as desired.

Arrange the column order by selecting a column name in the Selected Columns grid and selecting the up and down arrows to the right. Repeat this process for other columns as desired.

- Edit the grid's toolbar.
Select the Edit Toolbar tab at the bottom of the window. The view tools and grid tools available will depend on the module for which you are creating a grid.
Select or deselect the view tools and grid tools you want displayed or hidden from the grid.
- Select Save.
How to edit a grid
Method 1
- Open
Admin Portal > UI Management > Grid Manager. - Select a Module from the picklist.
- Select a Module Component from the picklist to identify the specific grid you want to edit.
- Select the grid you want to edit.
- Select the Edit button. The Edit Grid pop-up opens. Proceed to Modify the grid (below).

- Open the module for which you want to edit a grid.
- Navigate to the grid you want to edit.
- Select the
and select Edit Grid. The Edit Grid pop-up opens. Proceed to Modify the grid (below).

Modify grid details in the top half of the pop-up.

Select the Edit Columns tab to edit which columns are displayed or hidden, and their order.

Select the Edit Toolbar tab to edit which tools are displayed or hidden for the grid.

Select Save. The Edit Grid pop-up closes.
